KBFD is the only locally owned independent television station in Honolulu, Hawaii. KBFD is devoted to entertaining Hawaii’s people.
KBS, MBC, SBS, the three largest television networks in Korea, and YTN provide KBFD-TV with the most popular programs including traditional and modern dramas, mini-series, comedy, children’s programming, variety shows, local and national news.
KBFD offers the finest Asian programming available to its loyal viewers in their own language. KBFD’s popular programs, subtitled in English, have gained popularity among the mainstream audience.
KBFD’s experience in broadcasting dates back to 1976 when it was operating as Voice of Korea.
Licensed by the FCC, KBFD began broadcasting on March 24, 1986 as a full power UHF station.
KBFD-TV has now grown into family of multiple stations to embrace all generations of viewers of Korean ethnicity as well as all people of Hawaii.

KBFD 방송국은 호놀룰루시에 위치하고 있으며 하와이 전 지역을 시청자 가시권으로 두고 있습니다.
현지 뉴스 및 자체제작 프로그램을 비롯해 한국의 KBS, SBS, MBC 등 한국의 주요 방송사들의 프로그램을 방송하고 있으며, 1988년부터 해외 최초로 한국 프로그램에 영어자막을 자체 제작 삽입 방송하여 한류열풍의 선도적인 역할을 하고 있습니다.
KBFD는 2006년부터 KBS World의 하와이 지역 운영 사업자로 선정되어 타임워너 오시아닉 케이블 디지털 채널 80번(KBFD2채널)을 통해 KBS World 방송 서비스도 함께 실시해 다채널 방송 서비스를 제공하고 있습니다.
2012년부터는 한국의 Arirang방송을 하와이에 개국하여 지상파 디지털채널 32.2와 스펙트럼 케이블, 하와이언텔콤 케이블을 통해 방송하고 있습니다.
KBFD의 VOD 서비스 채널인 KLIFE는 언제 어디서나 한국의 드라마, 영화, 문화, 교양 프로그램을 볼 수 있도록 VOD 서비스를 제공하고 있습니다.
